Triumph Animation
Please critique your finished artwork. How well did you express your "word?" What was successful about your piece and what needed work? Please explain one alternate idea you had for your word?
I'm really happy with it! I think the movement is pretty 'fluid' and realistic. I also like the sketchy look-it seems like it gives it more movement and action. I'm surprised by how fun the animation was and pretty excited when I finally scanned them and put all the frames in GIMP to finally see how they looked animated.
I think the doggo in the animation looks pretty happy and pleased with himself so that could count as triumph along with the fact that it's an animation itself and I didn't know how the frames would like animated until I was completely finished.
I would've loved to have it continuously loop, I think that would've been really neat but I didn't even think about it until last night so that didn't give me any time to add some additional frames to put in between frames 1 and 20 so that they would flow together. I think it'd be fun to try more complex animations sometime. They are time consuming though, especially the scanning all the frames part.
I had some other ideas for the animation but they would've taken too long and I don't know how well GIMP would appreciate any larger/longer animations. Most of them involved the same character(the Irish wolfhound named Fission) so none of the ideas strayed to far from what it ended up as.
